    TrunkMonkey Totally bananas

Saw it was listed in several places 2 years ago, including eBay for $23-25k.

With the email address of the seller.

Yeah, this ad looks like a phishing expedition.

    Hi how are you?
You inquired about my car and I hope you are still interested. This beauty is in great condition and extremely clean. It has been recently serviced and it's being sold as described, no mechanical or electrical issues, never abused, non smoker, runs and drives perfect. You can buy it for the price of $12,800. I work overseas for Perenco on an oil rig and my contract ends in June. Then I have another 2 years agreement starting from July 2019 so the car is no more useful to me.
The location of the car is Seattle, WA, ready to go. I have arranged for the sale of the vehicle before leaving the states so if you want to find out more details about how we can close up this deal, do not hesitate to contact me and I will respond at my earliest convenience.

    Thanks,
    Anthony Houghton

Love the grammar...and the backstory. Yup; typical phishing expedition...I wish I had the computer smarts to turn the tables on clowns like that and steal from them.

I would say something about Trump declaring any Americans working for Perenco are breaking US law. We need to send a plane to retrieve him...and that the car is forfeit.

The Dickweed emailed me last night. Typical scammer who works overseas and the supposed to exist car is located in Seattle. I’d love to meet him in person.

*Perenco appears to be a West African oil company.

    1972Mach1 Just some M.M.O.G. guy.....

It's amazing how many people have jobs on off shore oil rigs. And they all are selling their cars on the net. Must be a job requirement: Must own classic car and be ready to sell it. Remind me not to get a job on one, I'll have all my cars for sale in a week!
