We are moving along at a steady pace with the outer wheel houses. Attached is a computer image of the tooling we are making. 17,000 pounds of steel is being used to make this tool. We are estimating selling about 300 pair in the next 2 years. This would put the price of the wheel houses at $189 ea. We want to make sure everyone is cool with the pricing. If we can get close to 500 orders we will be able to drop the price to about $129. If we only get 100 orders we will have to raise the price to $239 a piece. We are going to have to put a lot of money up to do this. We expect to have stock in the next 30-45 days. These are being made to fit the hardtop cars and will have to be modified to fit convertible. I guess we are going to leave this up to, how many people out there will need these Buick wheel houses? You can determine that the price on a limited run of these will be at $189; depending on whether or not we get more or less orders, the price can fluctuate. With limited sales compared to Chevelles or GTOs it is hard to pin point where we would be with the Skylarks. We will take preorders to help pin point a better final price and not bill you until we call or email you with the firmed up price.
Thumbs up for TPP. :TU: You guys are stepping up to the plate on the Buick parts. That's great to see. Hopefully we will start to see some parts for the 68-69 cars in the not to distant future. PLEASE.. Thanks TPP. :beer
Dreesh, If you look at the drawing Shane provided, the coupe has a hemispherical shape. The conv is similar but the top 10-20% is flat to accomodate the drainage trough and folding mechanism. With convertibles, the most common area to rust out is the outer 2-4" of the fender lip. So, use air shears to remove the needed portion and weld-in the splice. You can see this on our site. Look at the pics of the 70 GS455 conv resto. I have used 2 and 4dr models as donors for the outer 2-4" of the wheel well. They all share the same wheel well trim/stainless.
I knew I should have sold my pair of nos ones a year or so ago when I was offered $1,200 ! ou: Glad to see they will be available though.
Preordering You will have to call in your order or order them online. Remember that we will not bill you until we call or email you with the exact price and they will ship. Thanks
Man with all this interest looks like these are going to be $239+ o No: Remember you have to call in or place the order online. Online; the outer wheel houses will say call, but you will still be able to put them in the cart. Thanks Again

Patience my good man, the thread has only been up for 2 days. I expect you'll see a ton of these ordered, then you can leave the 70-72 cars behind and move on to the best-looking GS, the 68/69 style... :bglasses:  J/K guys, I'd own 'em all if I could. :TU:
