Is it just me or has anyone else noticed that the wheel well openings are rolled differenly on the front and rear. i just got a new set of mirror polished mouldings from the parts place and in tral fittng i noticed the rear wheel wells are rolled a little wider than the fronts

Yes they are...remember on the rears the outer wheelhouse is attached (spot welded) to the Quarter Panel Lip so they needed plenty of width back there to put in spot welds and have a good strong bond in the welds. Likely, part of it was to allow clearance for the tips of the spot welding machine to fit up in there and get the welds generally centered on the outer wheelhouse lip and QP lip.

Firered---What Hauk just asked....did you buy refinished used WOM's from Part's Place or are they reproing these now. And if they are REPROS then please give everyone a report on how they look and FIT. Thanks

The mouldings i got from the parts place are re-conditioned but absolutely flawless and are better than new. They are $85.00 plus a $65.00 core charge. They also have repopped rocker panel mouldings for $199. Same as year one, but year one just upped the price, i think to $225. I may have just been lucky that they had all four ready to roll, give them a call 630 365 1800.I contacted Billions And TRillions they wanted $765 and no core refund . I dont recomend them they tell you that anything your looking for is ultra rare and your lucky they have it.

By the way i do realize that neither the fenders or quarters were rolled in the factory , rather stamped in huge dies i used the term rolled because thats what would have to be done in a repair. what i was refering to was how the mouldings on the fenders are almost flush compared to how they are rececced in the quarters
