We are going with a GS style glass hood so this one needs to go. This was on Brutus when we bought the car. I don't really have any info on brand etc other than it was put on when Gary Laughlin owned the car. This is a pin on hood and I will include the four pins that are on the car right now. The two middle pins were not on the car so I don't have those. Front trim not included as we will be reusing it so keep in mind there will be mounting holes if you don't use trim. Hood is in good shape no cracks or chunks missing. $300 delivered to BG
Wow, what a small world. I remember when that car ran a screaming 430. Gary and I have had a lot of fun in BG, I miss those good ole days!
Dom just to be up front and honest. When the hood was painted I personally believe it was off just a smidge as far as color goes. Not a deal breaker in my opinion and I have no problem running it. Just something I should point out if your putting it on a silver mist car.
Mine is not really silver mist either but may be close enough to run for now. I'll see if anyone is going to the nationals from this area.
Todd you are correct. the hood was a shade darker. It is a VFN hood. I hope to see the car again someday lol. What are the plans for it? thanks, Gary L
Good to talk to you Gary. Chris and I are excited to have this car. So much cool racing history. Car will be getting a 25.3 chassis makeover and will have a twin turbo Tomahawk build. It will be a drag radial car. Gonna do our best to keep it a classy Buick along with some new edginess.
It's heading to the chassis shop soon. After that things should move pretty quickly.....well I hope they do anyway! Lol Sending you a pm
I'm guessing there would be even less interest in a hood with a hole in it so I would have to say no. Although I suppose the scoop is for sale for $300 and comes with a free hood.
