70 ALTERNATOR & AC BRACKET

Both brackets have the same casting number 1231871 but there are subtle differences. You can see in the one there are hollow places in the casting. I guess one is early and one later casting, the one is also about 6 OZ lighter. I am wanting to keep the one for a 70 3D date.

My 70 model nov build date 350 bracket fits my 73 455

 

Different places using diffediff tools to make the "same" part, is my guess.

 

Okay anybody with a flint car I can see which bracket is?
