Wow!!! I wonder what the history is on that car?????

Toth Buick is here in Ohio and I think George Toth is a member on here so he should know most of the details......

I wonder if Gary Paine or Bill Wills knows this car?????

    Sounds very interesting.......

I don't know if George has been watching. I know Bill has his computer Down.
I can't get the info to come up, even with the Pop-Up blocker disabled.
If It came out of the Berea Store, George would know about it. Akron Store, is questionable, maybe contact Russ, about it.
Lon, Your rear bumper is Impressive!! Experience from Norwalk. (LOL)
I will contact George, and see IF he knows anything.

These figures are with the buyer's commissions added in and before the seller pays his commission. Also they do not include your transport costs, entry fees, tent fees, hotel costs, plane fares, meals, parking, local taxes etc. So at BJ the seller's nets for Buicks have not been impressive.

   I guess I made 1500 hp with my 40 over 455 which ran 9.20's and Rob Chilenski is making well over 1600 hp runing in the 9 teens. 60 grand to do that engine???? Oh lord! After that quote I would definitely want to verify the other quotes about the car, including if it IS a bonified GSX

If Kenne-Bell was bringing in that kind of cash for a BBB back in the day, they'd still be in the BBB business. :spank:

I don't care what BJ says, but if the 72 car did not come from the factory as a GSX then it isn't one. It's only a 72 GS with stripes added.

If they are not careful they are opening themselves up to getting sued by the new owner.

I believe the owner of this GSX is the same gentleman I've had "conversations" with over the last 8 years. He thinks hes THE Buick expert,
after listening to his rants and self glorification I asked him to bring it to Thompson and I'd run him for a grand with my 10.4s pitiful GS,I'd even race heads up,which he should've jumped on since his stage 4 runs nines.Said," oh I don't race anymore".
I asked how the 560 was derived,he said all stage 4's were big inch like this.I guess he wasn't aware that some of us know a thing or two about buicks.Hes probably in his 60s so any youngster would probably buy into his BS.Beware this car, someone will be disappointed if they pay big money for it.I wonder where the extra control arms go? maybe in the trunk? Also note stage 1 heads.Man they must really flow,Greg should go get some lessons.

JL.....good catch....you started a nice fire here.... I like it though.....Buicks need to be treated with respect!!!! Being humble only goes so far....

JR...keep your comments about my rearend to yourself......I didn't sign any documentation to let that out on the web...... Atleast I'm on the web now. Norwalk08 is approaching FAST!!!

Dave..the rollbar thing ..even back in the day that stock muscle ran at the track...I would have been expected that anything under 11.99/11.49 NHRA/IHRA would need a roll bar.......I guess to claim any victories....

Gary...thanks for chiming in....I wondered if you heard of this car. I think there is a white nontubbed GSX from Cleveland that still runs ...I saw it in BG a few times....good guys that have nice piece of history and run the hell out of it...

Glen...is that other white car at BJ one that I actually polished the wheels on???

Get the popcorn going....it's going to be a long winter!!

I am talking to a customer many moons ago,he is selling his 65 Riv.He got it on a special order with a nailhead putting out 465 c.i.I am trying to tell him that the # on the air cleaner denotes the torque, not the cubes.Like talking to a wall,he actually had the same engine as this guy with 560c.i and 1200 horses. You would expect a young one to make a statement like that, but you know what?they probably believe what they are saying is true.I did believe that about my customer. And by the way,my car also is in the 1500hp,it ran a 9.12 at Cecil.

I'm all ears on this one. But I can't help but wonder what kind of power Doug Hecker's engine put out if he has run 8.70's.:Do No: :Brow:

Come to think of it, you can find bull poop dispensers in just about any situation. I spent a small part of this evening listening to one trying to convince me that he knew how to get a cop fired. :puzzled: :Dou:

Gary,if it's the guy i'am thinking of his name is Jerry and he restores 57 chevys. He does have a white 70 GSX and he did make a strip car out of it.If it's the same guy he's full of bullsh1t.I don't think it's a real X to start with. Tom

Didn't real X's have black rocker panel stripes? Not that this would exclude it from being an X, but it's something.

Most did But I think a few real ones have reported they had red. There is a post on this on thei Board. If yoy look at the pice the car has beeen repainted. The stripes are gloss and not matt.

Sounds like it is,he came up to Sandy and me at the cleveland autorama one year when we were showing her "X"and he proceeded to bend my ear for what seemed like hours about his stage4,he had a pic ,not sure if the car is a real X or not.
