Guys. I met with a potential customer this afternoon. He and his lovely wife, are the original owners of his Sherwood Green/Black 70GS 455. (I dunno WHY I didnt snap a few pix while it was here?!??) Anyway, she drove it for the majority of the original 125K miles! Most of the car is original. It has been repainted once in 1990. The car, spent first two years in Indianapolis, then they moved to Florida. Over the years the car experienced a few fenderbenders, hood damage etc. Nuttin serious. Back in 1990, The fenders were replaced with second hand fenders that have the typical "FLAT" area that simply doesnt match the hood curve..... and the hood has been repaired with less than quality finishing products that has encouraged more rust growth ever since... you get the point. SO I'm just tossin' this out to see whats out there. We are considering a restoration and are looking for all original front end sheet metal parts: BOTH fenders, RUST FREE, NOS would be NICE...? and a 70 GS HOOD... MUSTBE~RUSTFREE!
