70 GS 455 Non A/C front lowering spring

So I've seen a bunch of posts about front springs. They all reference BBB cars with A/C. I would like a 1 inch lowering spring in the front. Car was born a 70GS 350 automatic but will be a 455 manual trans car.

Any idea what springs would be good?

Leave the 350 springs in, it will be lower! Seriously, it seems the only way to get what you like is to try a few. Not sure about the UMI "64-72". Seems the later springs have flats on the ends if I remember correctly.

 

X’s 3! Try the small block springs first. At least you know they fit.

 

Car supposedly had a 455 in it. When I got it, it was a roller. Springs are a little rusty l, have overspray and look like crap so want new ones since I'm painting the frame and control arms.

Paint or powder coat the 350 springs. POR-15 actually works well!
