I'm looking to restore/paint a plastic radiator cover for a 1970 GS. The original color is gray. Would it be more appropriate to retouch this part with gray SEM paint as opposed to black? The same issue exists for the fan shroud and lower housing of the air cleaner. I believe all of these parts consisted of unpainted gray plastic / fiberglass from the factory. Most restorations I've seen have these parts painted black (noting that the metal radiator covers should be black). Curious if anyone has attempted to restore any of these parts in their original gray color and if so, what product/shade was used. Thanks.

Lacquer thinner bath and then clear if desired, this works wonders for the snorkels
