Ideal car would have 455 auto with bench and AC, dark blue with white vinyl top, blue interior. No clones or heaps, please. Variations considered.
Up to $75k Do you have more pix of the interior, engine, trunk and chassis? Mileage and documentation?
As far a all the pictures you requested let me state that the car is in storage. Let me tell you a little about the car. It is a real "V" code 1972 Stage1. It is registered on the Stage1 registry and is the most optioned '72 listed. It still has it's original number matching "WS" Stage1 motor it was born with. Original carb, distributor etc. are still with the car. Still has it's original number matching "BB" turbo 400 transmission. Still has it's original code matching 3:42 posi rear. Car is Documented by the Sloan Museum and has paperwork to authenticate so. It took Two Window Stickers to list all options (have repro stickers) Options include: Power Steering, Power Brakes, Ice Cold A/C, Deluxe Interior, Power Windows, Power Drivers Seat, Bucket Seats, Center Console w/ Floor Shift, Factory Tinted Windows, Rally Rims, Sport Steering Wheel, N-25 Thru the Bumper Exhaust, Bumper Guards Front and Rear, Factory Floor Mats, F&R. This car has absolutely "NO" rust anywhere, Mint Trunk, Floors, Doors, Quarters, Fenders, Core Support, ETC. ! Interior is Excellent as is all Bumpers and Trim. Paint Shines Real Nice, Car Turns Heads. Car runs like an animal with drivetrian rebuilt about 9000 miles ago. Drive it crosscountry today. I've owned this car since 1999 and it has never let me down. Ask anyone who's ever seen it and they'll tell you...the car is Gorgeous ! You won't find a "REAL ONE" this nice to often. Now let me tell you what the car needs....."NOTHING" !!!
Whats known about the history of the car? Original, or restored? Do you have a thread somewhere that shows it? Thanks for the response. ---------- Post added at 08:31 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:26 PM ---------- I've received some good leads via PM as well. This place is a great resource.
Only know who I bought it from and he is deceased. Car is an excellent original car, well preserved, used by me maybe on occasion, but is usually driven out of state to an event. This is a very presentable car that runs strong with no issues, not a resto you'd be affraid to drive.
Still looking, Dan. Have a couple leads playing out yet so we'll see where they go. I'm looking for a pretty specific combo, or something that can get me to it that isn't a rolling tetanus hazard.
Not a Stage 1 but one hell of a car. Guess it depends on what you're looking for. If any interest, PM me. Steve http://www.diversionmotors.com/1970_GS455.html
Great loooking car Steve, but I'm looking for something more original. Let me know if you run across something like that. Steve
If I were looking for a four speed car, I'd have the kinda of luck where all I could find would be automatics. I'm really impressed with the quality of cars that are available right now - I've received several PMs from others, all 4 speed cars. Main thing I'm looking for is documented, numbers matching auto, true GS. Thanks to everyone that has contacted me, and happy New Year to everyone!
