Sure would be nice if they posted those Sloan Docs.

Dang - If there were one that I would liquidate an investment for, this one would be a contender.....

Beautiful, but I have 1 question, why does the AC belt sit up so high from the alternator pulley? 52F220D9-ABBB-4F81-B08E-A72DB5BD7392.png

My guess is wrong lower AC bracket and maybe water pump pulley. The original top bracket is missing.

Rusty screws on the cowl, windshield washer hoses disconnected, and shouldn’t that air cleaner lid be chrome? A9D9FC8E-3C77-4FDF-8446-38096572C278.png

    Not chrome.

As gloss black as can be.

Good catches Doc. (@Brett Slater is correct on the gloss black - Not sure about "as gloss as can be":)). Made me start looking a little closer.

I think Mecum's $170-180k est. is a bit ambitious. Of course we get accused of beating these cars up but if I was seriously going cough up the $, our educating ppl would be looked at as an invaluable resource. It's a beautiful car for sure and maybe its owner realizes more so than Mecum it's flaws & doesn't have as high of expectations but for that kind of (4-sp.) $, it needs to be (@copperheadgs1's Mecum GSX type) flawless.
    • Wrong M/C (I bel. DM on booster should be upside down on other side bit not 100% sure all were that way?)
    • At a minimum the front bumper isn't adjusted properly. Right side looks bent (they actually & I assume unintentionally highlighted this in one pic)
    • Faces of drums should be black
    • Sure looks to me like the driver side fender emblems are crooked
    • Console chrome looks lousy
    • I could nitpick some misc. hardware, finishes, etc...
    • Maybe they just forgot to paint the steering col.?
    • No mention of #'s matching trans, correct 3.42 posi, body-off, or any undercarriage pics
If this stuff plus the above replies is easily picked out from some low res pics and a few minutes, the natural next question is what else is lurking?

Beautiful car !!! Not bashing at all …. But just can’t seem to understand WHY on such a rare and worthy car that they really lack on attention to detail , especially going for top dollar ?? The a/c thing kills me !! It’s glaringly obvious !! Just don’t get it ??

Great color combination, regardless of what’s right or wrong.

It should be more correct for that kind of an estimate, its all in the details. On the other hand it does have that pesky AC and Drum brakes ho hum.

Sometimes I think if it is shiny people are blinded.... It would not have taken that much more to make it correct..

That console chrome wasn't even that shiney:). So much for the market softening. Good to see Buicks bringing big $. While I believe that includes buyer fees, Mecum's est. was close & surely for psychological reasons they est. high.
