Alright... I won this auction a few WEEKS ago.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...3617&item=2455216915&sspagename=STRK:MEBWN:IT

(Not sure if that link will work. Anyways, they're 70 455 heads that have been completely redone. I won this auction on Jan. 25th and I STILL haven't received the heads. I've e-mailed this guy about six times now to no avail. Maybe I should try calling the dude. This is starting to become ridiculous. Just to let you know, his ebay name is sold749863. Don't buy from this guy! He's definitely going to get negative feedback!!! Sorry...had to vent.

  2. Shawn, what date was payment sent, and what form of payment? Do you know how they were to ship, and how long shipping should take from CA to Hawaii?

    Hi Shawn,
I am going thru the same kind of thing with another seller. I emailed him 3-4 times no luck. I pulled up his info and got his #, called and he is moving at the time. Says he shipped but ??? Will send another console. Long and short of it, Ebay wants you to call him before neg feed back is listed.

Your in Hawaii, I am in Alaska and it's kind of the same problem. They send heavy stuff the slowest way possible. I bought a set of heads from AZ and shipping took 3 weeks.

I hope it works out cause that looks like a smokin deal on them heads.

    Ooops

I forgot to mention that I paid w/ Paypal and the heads are being shipped to Missouri (my home-of-record) rather than Hawaii. My Riv' is in MO. Should have been there by now. And the guy should have replied to my SIX damn e-mails!...haha. At least give me the courtesy of a tracking #, right?

  5. I would also suggest you look into the deadline for filing a claim with Paypal, for non-delivery by the seller. I think it is 20 or 30 days from date of payment. You can get the payment reversed.

You're right about the lack of contact issue. He even states in the listing that a tracking # will be available!

I'm not sure about the justification of a phone call before negative feedback is placed. I guess you could try, but, most sellers do not provide a phone number up front to begin with. Second, if you email them 6 times and they don't answer back, you can't get very much inormation (like a phone number) from them to beging with can you?

If they did provide a number you can call, but the slow shipping, no tracking number, no returned emails....etc., to me anyway, is more than deserving of negative feedback, or, if the heads arrive in tact and as described, at least a neutral feedback. If you are ready to auction something off on ebay then you need to stay awake and see it through without snags and snafoos. That's not too much to ask. I know sometimes there are problems out of the sellers control, but, we all have problems, and quite frankly, it's not necessarily the buyer's duty to even care. If you spend money, you want a product in return, bottom line. And in less than 5 weeks preferably.

  7. Ken, I think Ebay requires that you provide a contact phone # when you sign up an account. The parties to a transaction then have access to the other's contact info, just for instances like this.

Really? I didn't know that. I always thought that was if "ebay" wanted to contact me, not the "buyer". It wouldn't really be good practice to let buyers have your phone number, not when the entire world can see it. Or is it only "visible" to the "buyer" him/herself. In other words, after the "win."

everyone on ebay is required to provide their phone number. Anyone in a transaction with someone can request the number from ebay. Although, if they were to call my number, they would get time and temperature for Kent, Ohio. Then again, I never ever screw anyone over on ebay, so it hasn't been an issue yet..

  10. Yes Ken, only after an auction ends, then the buyer and seller have access to each other's contact info. I've used that in the past to call a deadbeat seller. Never got item or money back though. Too small of a value for ebay's claim system to do anything.

Well, you have to win an item from said seller before you can get their phone #. I've got his and I'm going to try to call sometime today. I'm hoping I get through to an actual person! Maybe I can reverse the payment somehow if things don't work out. Man, I wanted those heads, though!!! haha.

File fraud on him through e-bay. I had the same problem with something I bought. Sent payment, took about 2 months for the guy to send me my stuff. Filed fraud on him, and he got his @$$ in gear. :spank:

  14. Nice catch Steve. Looks like "Albert" posted the heads back in mid December here. His last post was 1/27, but his last visit was 2/9, so he's been checking in here lately. Shawn, might want to try using his PM or email link thru the board too. Sure hope this works out for you.

Maybe he will read this thread. Seems like a great place to work this out. I have had the same thing happen to me and ended up calling on 2 occasions. Both times the phone number was correct and I had discussions with the person. Neither time did I get screwed, so I would say the phone number is a good thing to have accessible. Hope I never get time and temp. That was a good one Steve.

Thanks, guys. I just thought that eBay wording sounded mighty familiar!

Hopefully, this might contribute to completion of the transaction. I don't have much respect for people who don't live up to their word, and that includes their implied responsibility of good communication after a deal has been made.

My guess is that Albert found bigger and/or easier money somewhere else, and did what he thought was better for himself, regardless of the committment he had made through eBay. He's obviously active here, as witnessed by the 2/9 visit. It's not like he's in a coma somewhere. This behavior defines the term "welcher". Or, Albert, please stand up and prove me wrong.

And he's not the only one. N-25: Are you listening?

    -Steve.

You can post feedback on ebay for 90 days after winning a item. I received a damaged trunk trim which I returned and waited till the 90 th day for a refund. Went to leave Neg. feedback but checked my paypal account and he sent my refund the last day. Sad I hope he did not need my 36 bucks that much. However if I left neg. feedback sooner I do not think I would have seen the money...

    Sorry, bud.

Hey, Albert. I'm currently on deployment to the Middle East on a Navy ship. I can't call you at all. Sorry. I'm also really sorry to hear about your mother. I didn't get any e-mails from you. I don't know what the deal with that is. Maybe we had some sort of mix-up in communication. I definitely won't be filing any type of fraud until we can get things settled. Just take your time mailing the heads to me. Family is definitely the most important thing and you shouldn't have to make my heads your priority. I'm really sorry about that! Please accept my apology and give my sincerest regards to your mother. I'll try to call sometime at your convenience. Take care!
