Have you noticed a metal clip that is not used near the front passenger side of you original 70 hood. It is attahed by one slot headed sheet metal screw. I always assumed that it was something left over from the assembly process but am unsure. Who knows its real purpose?

    Jim,

This might be a grounding clip to connect the hood to the body in order to prevent electrical noise in radio? Where exactly is it located and does it contact anything?

I would doubt that from looking at it. It is on the side member under the hood on passenger side near the front. It look almost like it was a metal wire retainining clip.

Ok that's strange. How about an under the hood lamp? Add on from its previous life? The screw is slotted and not a phillips? Maybe a left over from assm. damage?
