    Hi guys,

I am totally new to this Buick thing. Sold my 1969 chevelle and now on a learning curve. Anyway I picked up this 70 GS 455 and it has two dome type lights on the back sides of the roof as it comes down to the package tray and no dome on the center of the headliner. The car also has bucket seats and a console. Was this lighting some kind of option??

Base Larks etc had just a dome light. GS cars and I think Customs had the two lights in the back. In 70 they came in two syles. The early ones had the trishield emblem embossed in the lens and the mid year change went to lens with concentric circles. You could get a GS with a base interior I think which perhaps would have the single light so I read but I have never seen one.

BTW, Welcome to the Board! I was lucky. My first car was (and is) a Buick GS. Dan

Base interiors had the single dome light in the roof. Deluxe interiors had 2 lights in the sail panels. Didn't matter if it was a Skylark or GS. At least for 1970 anyway. Deluxe interior option was partly the waffle pattern seat inserts and 16 inch armrests.

    Lights in the front also

Under the dash, on both sides, next to the kick panels there may be more courtesy lights.

Courtesy lights (as stated above) was an option and also includes light in the glove box, map light in the rear view mirror, and a light in the trunk lid that brakes everytime I close the dang lid. :Dou:
