Mike, Although it looks too nice to part out, I may be interested in some parts if you do. Trunklid, Rear bumper looks better Than mine, misc. stuff etc. Real shame what they did that to the interior! They did the dashboard too I see. I think I last saw that material on a couch back in the 70's. :bglasses:
Timing is everything. Mike, I'll have to pass on the whole car. :ball: At least for now. If we hadn't bought a pop-up camper a few weeks ago, I would drive down today. Geez, even wifey was on board with it. Which surprised me.
Hi Mike, do you have more pics of the engine bay and under carrige and interior, would you say it needs a whole interior kit?how is the trunk and floors, how about any rot around qtrs or fenders, i might throw you an offer? Randy
No rot around quarters or fenders. Poor body work on rt fender front and lower rt quarter from dents- no rust underneath, frame ,decklid ,doors -all good- int needs carpet, headliner,... seats and dash done in couch fabric. Originally from AZ. I'm not that far away- come take a look.
Mike, have you put this ad up in front of the Riviera Owners Association? Might be a good idea to give a try rather than have to part it out.
Please send pics of areas you mentioned as having poor body work and also engine compartment. I sent you my email address via PM. Thanks.
That looks like a nice car for the money in my opinion,Im not into the big Rivs but sure cannot believe someone has not grabbed it yet.
If it wasn't a fortnights travel to the frozen tundra from here I'd gladly take it. It looks like it could be a fairly easy resto and would be a nice addition to my 70 cloner. What is the nearest airport to there and would it make the trip back in case I can talk the better half into it?
No problem. BTW I noticed that lark678 has a post in pay it foward about having an empty 18' trailer coming back south from Rochester. Might help whoever is buying it depending on where they live.
