Would like some input in rather to put aftermarket air in my lark or to rebuild the one i already have. what i can tell about mine is the compressor is locked up, but appears to be all there. Will the factory air blow cold enough as i am in South Texas and it gets hot. Thanks in advance

If you ask me the old one's work better then anything.

Buy one of his used ones or rebuild yours. There is a good place in Texas that does them. Old Air Prodcuts I think is their name. Worked for me.

Yes, if your car has original A/C, rebuild it. I rebuilt the A/C in my '63 Riv and it really cools. (Drove it to Flagstaff a couple of summers ago.) I used R-12. I like how it works. Prices for R-12 have come down a lot lately. Demand is way down and supply is still there. If you carefully rebuild the system you will not lose a lot of R-12, and what you lose you can replace for not much cost. I had Old Air Products up in Ft Worth rebuild several of my components.
