I am pretty sure this is the same car Marco and I checked out several years ago and went over the stampings on the phone with the then current owner.

Stage one option, Vin # and SS code on block, TH400 Turbo Hydramatic trans, 10 bolt 3.42 performance axle with Posi traction. Built the 4 week of Aug. 1969 from the Kansas City, MO plant. Shipped to Albuquerque, NM. Born as a true GS 455, originally Seamist green. The car has gone through a number of owners with 2 color changes. Back in the early 80s, the car was painted red, stated from it's CT Title. The car has been cared for all it's life, according to owner history. 62,011 actual miles, factory pearl white interior was beautifully restored some years ago. Purchased by Legendary Interiors, new seat cushions, door panels, carpet, seat backs, all new hardware, brilliant dash cluster with Rallye gauges, tach. AM/Fm radio that works, factory air conditioning, PS, PB, power top. Strato bucket seats with console staple shifter. 3 spoke deluxe cushion grip steering wheel, full tinted glass and driver's side remote mirror. No cracks in the orig. dash pad, heater, AC, cigarette lighter. The white convertible is like new condition. From researching the car, one of the previous owners purchased the car in 1986 and drove it for a few years. Had it repainted in the late 80s, a factory color code Strato mist Blue. The exterior parts were removed including the fenders, hood, rear deck lid and doors to ensure no detection of red paint from previous color. 20 year old finish still looks great. All orig. rear quarters, fenders, solid door bottoms, trunk and hood. Magnets stick all the way around this car. Only a few minor chips, no bubbles or exterior rust showing. Detailed hood, trunk and door jambs. All the chrome, trim and bright work are very nice, with the orig. look. All the glass is in really good shape. Replacement windshield. The grille has a tiny crack, with no pieces missing...an easy repair. The underside is extremely solid, orig. floors and trunk pan. New OEM style dual exhaust. Inside the trunk has orig. spare Rallye wheel, jack and trunk mat. Comes with original Owner's Manual and option brochure. Researching this car, was interesting. It is a GS 455, however, according to records, they built all the GS Stage I Convertibles in Flint, MI, and this car was built the 4th week of Aug. 1969 according to the date tag on the cowl body # 001163 from the Kansas plant. The original GM door sticker with the Vin # and date reads, 9/69, possibly a carry over form the last days in Aug. Amazingly, the SS with the Vin # is clearly stamped and looks authentic, but doesn't make sense. Being an extremely early car, could they have possibly built this car in Kansas City, MO and GM decide to build them exclusively at the Flint plant? We think NOT. If this car was to be recreated as a Stage I, it was early in it's life, but will continue to explore this mystery. As it sits, it is a GS 455 , Stage I equipped. $39,900

Sounds like a very honest description of the car.

The owner doesn't think it is a Stage 1 either. It sounds like a good description to me.
