lets see what this one brings! I have the same date code on mine. I would be curious to see what this one does. At the time I thought I was paying alot at $500.00ou: One thing I did notice on this distributor- look at where the casting number is stamped. Its stamped on the wide portion as opposed to where they usually are located, in the narrow area. My 1112016 is stamped just like the one in the auction. I wonder if there was a reason. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1970-BUICK-GS-Stage-1-distributor-1112016-date-9L4_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ34205QQihZ019QQitemZ290083028855QQrdZ1
not to say that it is a restamp or anything, though the scratches/marks seem similar to the other restamps that were on ebay about a month ago. The numbers on this one line up alright though...
Amazing!! Like I always say- whatever you pay now, in five years it will seem cheap. Where's the ceiling on this stuff? My junk in the basement is doing better than my 401k
Thankfully, mine came in a "box of stuff I have downstairs" that the previous owner insisted I take with me when I bought my car. If you insist... o No:
It closed at 1370.....it was only 383 or some such, with 12 hours to go. I'll bet all the snipers looked like a skirmish line in the last few seconds, haha. Dan
Reminds me of the time I bought a 72 GS-350 years ago. After I bought the car, the sellers says "I have some extra stuff up in the attic". Turns out his extra stuff was a pair of new GM quarters! I sold the quarters for 200.00 more than I bought the car for. So I got the car for free plus 200.00! :3gears: Ahhh...those were the days!
I forgot to mention that "box" also included the original air cleaner & intake, as well as other misc. goodies that seem to be bringing some crazy loot these days....
I would say that someone is telling a whopper. Look at the font layout and the location on the distributor relative to the first one in this thread.
