Per Mike, the car is a sound project. Sloan documented, numbers matching engine/ trans/ rear, very little rot (pin hole in trunk pan, UPPER PS rear quarter, under hood and rear window channel). Inner fenders are clean, radiator support is clean (pics below) as well as the rest of the outer body. I have attached pics of the quarter issue (small) and under hood. Also, the under side of the rad support...
John, He is tough to get a hold of.. On the random occasions I get a call from him is when he is on the road hauling potatoes, corn, beets, trailers, undocumented immigrants, Hillary supporters, etc.. . I agree it is a good starting point. I have thought of making him an offer as I wouldn't mind owning a 70 Stage that needs minimal rust repair..and is numbers to boot! Plus, it's a bucket, AC, power disc brake car... Good luck!
:idea2: wow.... that's a understatement, John......it's a great starting point.... if it were a non A/C car, it would have been very hard to pass up.......
I am a fool for shiny paint, fresh interiors and bright chrome. With that in mind If I were to get it I would be trying to bring it back to the best condition I can. The real joy of the hobby to me is the chase and location of parts. Meeting with other Buick owners and then seeing it come back to its former glory. :TU: It would be easy to get underwater on it (my specialty)
John- I guess not...? LOL. I haven't heard from him in a few weeks.. So, I honestly don't know if there is something else in the works with you and he.. So, maybe not???
