Possibly the lowest option GS I've seen (@Rich Johns '70 GS 455 4-sp. might be less optioned).
    • A1: Stage 1
    • BC: TH400/Console
    • F1: Whitewall Tires
    • H6: Rallye Ride
    • X2: Rallye Steering wheel
That's it. Very oddball/special car. Shame IMHO what was done to it.

Special ordered, white/white (looks to be white top on the trim tag), Len Immke car. Almost had to have been ordered as a race car (esp. being w/o tach/gauges) & if so gotta be some history/pics for this one out there.

It's a nice car now but honestly imho, I kinda wish it would have been left alone, the way it was ordered. Sounds like the original owner bought it for one purpose.

Well if it was a race car then it shouldn't be a surprise that the original drivetrain is gone.

No harm no foul on the few upgrades cars had considering original drive train is gone. It will never be numbers matching again. Great driver!

I find it far less intriguing as a GSX clone than I would as a stripper stage 1

That car was built by Scott Miller about 20 years ago and has been owned by 3-4 board members since. Original drivetrain is long gone, but it is an original 10-10 GS Stage 1 (not a GSX). .

    docgsx It's not a GTX

Since the original drive train is long gone… The value of the car is dictated by the buyer. If the price is right, I’d love to have it.

Not to hijack the thread here, James but, anything that I have that you might want that we could trade for your car? Children included?

This car has been on ebay many times and never brought reserve.

Did Mike N own this at one time? I recall seeing a white 70 that came from up North sitting at his shop in the late 90's

I don’t know who owned it before Scott Miller, but if my memory is correct it had an iron headed Stage 2 motor in it when he got it.

Hopefully one of the previous owners can share what they remember of its history.

believe you are correct. I follow stripper cars in all brands. You just can’t get…or better put, wasn’t even an option to get some of the performance availability’s that were offered, say if you ordered air, etc.
3:64 gear in an air Stage1?… not gonna happen. Ls6 chevelle with air? Never made them. Could go on. If you want a muscle car, why not go all out?

I bought the car from Scott Miller back in the early / mid 2000's, owned it for a couple of years. Fun car.

Orig. drivetrain or not, I'd feel compelled to put it back to orig. (needing a hood/trunk & realizing most aren't into "strippers" - Sorry Steve:)). The value of it now is as a well done (presumably if Scott built it) 4-sp. GSX clone w/some provenance. What I'd do to it would probably reduce it's value.

S1/Auto w/clear glass, manual steering, & not even a radio or the requisite vinyl top/remote mirror that even most stripper GSs had. The Rallye Steering wheel is probably lighter than the std. Deluxe wheel. But the whitewalls, lol? Makes my 2 strippers (both factory manual steering, 4-sp./no consolette) look well optioned.

I'd love to have this one if it hadn't been messed with & one of a very few GSs that would get me as excited as either of mine despite the lack of it being #'s matching (not surprising) but I like the oddball/low option cars.
