    gotbuick What, me worry?

How do you know it's a Stage 2? Slap the vin down here, at least the first seven, and we can get started.

You know that there were no Stage 2 cars from the factory? Unless you bought the car from Ted Trevor...

    By the way. Welcome Aboard!

    Kev, I'd be real cautious.
    Could be the same one.
There was one that started in Arkansas, then made it's way to Texas.
I'll look through some stuff I got on the car, and see if I can find the vin.

The VIN doesn't denote a Stage 1 car in 1970, so why would the VIN of this potential Stage 2 tell us anything? I've never researched a Stage 2 so I really don't know. All I really know about Stage 2 cars in 1970 is that Buick kinda sorta sponsored two of them in drag racing in the early '70s.:Do No:

The vin could tell you if it isn't a Stage 1, GSX or even a big block.
All Stage 1's and GSX's were built in Flint (H) in 1970.

The reason I was looking for the vin, is I know of a GSX that people have tried to pass off as a Stage 2 for the last couple years.

I did some research on it, and can easily prove it isn't.

By the way Kev, I'm still looking for the paperwork they faxed me.

Did your research prove it was a GSX??? Give us some details.

Rusty, the main thing I could tell for sure, was it had the cowl tag from a QQ car, and the vin was a GS 455.
All else was some what questionable.
It had a few thousand miles on it from a resto at about 55,000 miles.
When I sat in it, the speedo showed the few thousand. When I questioned the owner about it, he said "oh, they reset the speedometer when they restored it".:jd: Big, giant, no-no.:Dou:

I think there is a couple threads that discusses the car I'm refering to in great lengths.

I'll see if I can find them.

    Here you go Kev

Kev, the last 3 digits of the car I'm talking about is 592.

If this matches up, let me know, and I'll e-mail you some more info.

    Sorry!!!

    Sorry Kev.
I noticed that after I posted it.
The thread is getting a little long, and I didn't read back through the whole thing today.
I was just trying to help.

    Hi Kev.

I'm sure we all hope you enjoy your new Buick no matter how much documentation you can access at the moment. You'll get her figured out. Till then pop some pictures to show off your new "bad boy" for us to see. :TU: :TU:
