Have you noticed that flynbuick new avatar has him wearing a mask? Looks like the Lone Ranger but deals with my car like Tonto.

    Charles Manson?

You guys must be really good lawyers.

Throw in a burial plot and I might reconsider. I'd need it if I buy any more cars.

Read my tag line. That was from the advertising for the '69 H/O. Some of todays advertising may have some flash, but the ads of yesterday had some substance!

Come on Dave, I am sure that you could get use to a TH-400. Besides, with the dual gate you can still shift your own gears, just that you may put a dent in the floorboard when you left leg has nothing to hit!:Dou: :3gears:

    :eek2: :eek2: :eek2:

I was referring to the match race, not buying the car! Forgot I was conversing with Lawyers! Whew, that was close!

Racing an automatic would be a piece of cake compared to launching a 4 speed with these tires, and a high revving, no low end small block (with coil springs especially). Cut a light and push on it vs hold the critical RPM, feather the clutch, keep the tires just barely spinning to keep the R's up, and get ready to grab second about the time you get it hooked. You end up having to drive it like a big block, but the low end torque isn't there. 2.2 sec 60 footers just don't get it, but then neither do 0.400 red lights with good 60 footers either.

Rob is a master at both cutting the light and a good 60 footer with this car. I can cut the light or get the 60 footer, but haven't yet mastered getting both at the same time. Who knows, I may get lucky one of these times.

My 68 W30 is being built with a Turbo 400 (even though it was a 4 speed originally). Had the parts and have 2 other 4 speed cars. I've never raced a car with an automatic (on the strip). Sure looks like it would make life a lot easier.

Dual Gates are fun. I had one in that Galleon Gold 70 442 Conv years ago. Never cared for the Lighning Rods in the 83-84 Hursts though. Seemed too much like old farm machinery.

My mind is painting strange pictures of Casey in his tutu with a big stick. :puzzled: :puzzled:

I don't think there's any worry there, but

For a beer, I can be influenced to ensure he wins just to quash the rumors. :Brow:
