Tough to say on the value but if so, I don't think a lot. Heck, maybe red even increases the value over gold.

    Topcat Got TORQUE?

Ha.....this is probably the Supreme Wildcat of that year.....i don't like red but a lot of people do....if it has been restored correctly....it is the BOMB !

I will see it the first day of the auction and give you my honest opinion that evening when i get home

    Peace WildBill

p.s....... Jim Schliff had a triple black 70 bucket seat and console 455 Wildcat that he brought to the GS Nationals one or two years in the 90's.....anyone have any pictures of it ?

In my life I’ve seen three ‘69 or ‘70 Cats with buckets. In the ‘90s there was a green one that came to BG. Last year I posted a link to one from fb; I think a member here bought it for the interior, and this red one. I don’t remember a black one.

Edit: I found my post; pphil bought it. I wish I had saved photos from the ad. I have this screenshot. Pphil, if you see this, will you post some?

There was a guy in NY that had one for sale in here a few years ago. Was tempting.

Ryans-GSX Have fun, life is short.

I dont know who has it but I see its running a North Carolina Tag on it so its probably someone from the Carolina Chapter or I would bet someone knows the car around here.

I didn’t realize the green car with buckets was Tom W.’s; that makes sense.

did you look at all the pics on RK Motors site? It looks like there is a pic of the engine block numbers at the end of them, but on my phone too small for me to read.

Numbers look pretty kosher to me, but I'm no expert on stampings. Lovely car.

Both numbers end in 338, I would say it's a match.

Personally if I was looking at a Big body car and it was a-non numbers car, for me it wouldn’t hurt the value. We aren’t talking about 6 figure numbers for these cars and it’s far harder to find good interior, exterior and suspension parts. Example, try find discs and calipers for a wildcat, so I would be paying for the quality of the car. I’m guessing a good survivor car will have the original drivetrain, if there ever was a problem with the engine or transmission, the owner probably got it repaired, not a junkyard replacement? Happy bidding guys.

Agree. I don't think it matters at all wrt value, just as it wouldn't IMHO for a Skylark & not even much (if at all) for a GS 350.
