EDIT: SOLD. I have other restored assemblies if you have interest in one.

Up for sale is a completely restored Hood Lock setup - The hood lock is correct for at least a '70-72 but the relay setup is the style used on the '71/2 hood lock/grille support nose piece.

    Features include:

    1) Yellow Zinc replated hood lock assembly - no rust pitting, etc prior to replating. May have had a crack in the typical spot but it's been solidly welded and refinished for an original look. Springs replated and includes new relay rod attaching clip

    2) Hood Pull Handle Relay and Handle - Original parts - pull handle is black plated and the rubber handle coating is well intact and all there. The relay mechanism is grey phosphate plated, replated spring, new black phosphate mount bolts to attach it to the nose piece, new relay rod clip, new hood pull handle locking/attachment clip, new pull handle rubber grommet to prevent noise/rattles/rubbing.

    3) Relay Rod - phosphate plated - not rusty/pitted, etc prior to replating. Rod attaching clips are new (one on each end used)

    4) Hood Lock Mount Bolts - 2 new black phosphate mounting bolts - coarse thread on this hood lock

I also have a '71/72 original nose piece - super clean and already beadblasted to bare metal and in black satin catalyzed epoxy primer. Includes new mount bolts and the one bolt thread clip insert that was used on these. This nose piece is extra cost over and above the hood lock setup advertised here....inquire for details/pics.

$175 INCLUDING SHIPPING/INSURANCE in the lower 48 states for the Hood Lock/Relay/Rod,etc setup. Again, the stamped metal nose piece/center grill support would be extra.

Payment via regular check or MO....no paypal.

Post here and we can follow up via PM's. IMG_1965.JPG IMG_1965.JPG

    Patton,
Will all of the parts pictured fit my 1970 grill support?

Brian - The hood lock and long relay rod is also correct for a '70 BUT the "relay mechanism" (the phosphated part with the pull handle - R side of the pics above) will not. Your '70 relay mechanism has staggered mounting points where it bolts to the hood support/grill nose piece. You would need to substitute in a '70 relay mechanism and I don't have any '70 versions of those.

    Thanks

EDIT AND ADD: $175 PRICE NOW INCLUDES SHIPPING/INSURANCE WITHIN THE LOWER 48 STATES.

Patton, I'm fairly certain the correct 70 rod differs from the 71-72 rod. But I think it will work.

Frank - I did some checking and you're correct. The down/link rod on this setup is correct for '71/2 cars, NOT '70.

    Thanks for the info.

Show quality setup for $175 shipped (lower 48)

EDIT AND ADD: Brian Trick...check your PM box I sent you a message. Thanks

Thank you both for that info. I have a few used parts and setups, and looking to either restore these,or get a complete setup already restored. I have found that there are a few 71-72 parts mixed in with the parts that came with my 70,so I am not sure exactly what I have.

Price reduced to $150 + shipping. Shipping should be very reasonable as the box won't have to be massive and not a lot of weight.
