I got a 71 Skylark that has been sitting for some time in the weather. However, initial inspection shows that the trunk lid and deck filler panel are all that is in need of replacement.

My question is, will the deck filler panel from a 68-72 chevelle work on my 'lark? I cant seem to find a Buick filler panel but Goodmark does have them for the chebys. Any advise is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks
    Mike

Depending on how bad the rust is.....you can have one made. If the lower structure/webbing is there....then a street rod/custom shop can easily fabricate a new upper panel using their custom sheet metal fabrication tools. I had this done in 92 and it came out perfect. Cost was $150 back then and well worth it since he made the metal, removed the old piece and welded in the new piece.

The lower part of the Chevelle panel near the trunk area is the same as the Skylark piece, but the upper contour is totally different, as the rear windows do not share the same lower dimensions. Rudy E
