71 front bumper brace

Looking for the passenger side bumper brace. The one that is straight, that has the a threaded nut on one side and the hole on the other. goes to the bottom of the bumper.

 

I know I should have that,as I have a bunch of braces.or brackets.Will let you know tomorrow.Bruno.

Sorry,I just looked in my shed,I did find some,but they were for the bumper,and they are more then 2 feet long.Yours are just past 1 foot.Bruno.

 

And not these? I think?? these are Oldsmobile Cutlass but not certain.

 

Yeah that doesn't look like mine. One side has a nut welded on the backside

 

No one has a spare bumper bracket?

 

I parted out a complete 71 GS today but the front bumper was pretty bent up. I can look at the brkts though and see if I have the one you need.

I'll try and check tomorrow.........

I do have this brace. It's fairly rusty but no holes. The bolt broke off in the mounting nut so that will need to be worked out.

If you can bead blast it and drill and tap it will be fine.

I should mention this is the longer one of the two..........

That was what was wrong with mine, bolt had broken off. I tried getting out, even with heat and wouldn't come out. Also I think I need shorter of the two braces.

 

Of course now that I'm not looking for it,today it just stared in my face.So ,if you still need it,I have that bracket.Bruno.
