    Guys,

This car is not too far from me. I am going to take a look at it tomorrow. I have seen it driving around for the last couple of years. It has plenty of bondo in it from what I remember. I will post some more info tomorrow.

Gremlin, Pacer, Matador, Hornet. All of these gems from one manufacturer!

    Course a 455 would help.

I stopped by to look at it but it was in the garage and nobody was around. I called him back and I am going out tomorrow morning to get more pics and description. He is a small dealer.

Awe c'mon.. Hornets aren't so bad. They're just misunderstood. :gt:
I owned this one for a couple years before selling it back to my dad. 13.24 is it's best pass in full street trim and can be driven everyday. 360 AMC/Jeep engine, tiny cam, full exhaust, stock torque converter...etc. I'd drive it 75 minutes each way to and from the track. (West Salem)
Now Pacers on the other hand...... what where they thinking!

    Guys!

I finally got there this morning. Will post pics tonight. Here is an accurate description of the vehicle which is a low option PS, PB, column automatic car:

1.Body. Bondo. Much. This was a rusty car that had a quick and dirty body job done to it. Quarters are patched and bondoed. Doors are patched with a bunch of bondo, seem to open and close fine. Fenders are patched and bondoed. Trunk floor needs replacement/braces. Both inner fenders are rotted out, core support is also gone. Cowl looks a little bubbly in spots so this could be scary up by the dash and pillars. Floors look scaly with a couple of holes, frame is pretty scaly but looked OK from what I could see. GS hood is good, Ram air seal plates are missing and the inserts are sealed off. Thick maroon paint. Should be Cortez Gold.

    Trim tag:
    ST 71 43467FL1220766 BDY
    TR 138 53 B PNT
    06C

    VIN # 434671H203782

2.Trim: Rear bumper is a straight core, not awful but needs chroming. Front bumper is pushed in at the center slightly but should be a useable core. Hood molding is good. Grill has a small missing piece of eggcrate near the center, cracks where the bumper meets it and cracks on the corner mounting post areas. Center mounts look good--very repairable. Emblems decent, trim decent. Headlight bezels are good driver quality.

    3. Interior/top: Broken front windshield. Top needs replacement but works. Dash is good. No guages or tach. Standard, cheapie steering wheel is cracked. Has aftermarket radio. Door panels are good with correct emblems, rear seat good, carpet fair and front bench seat needs recovering. Not many options on this one. Overall the interior is not bad for the age of the car.

4.Mechanical. Engine runs decent with a little lifter noise, trans drops right into gear and the brakes stop the car. Not great brakes but not completely scary either. Drum brakes up front. Couldn't really drive it because it was buried in the back of the car lot. No posi. Air cleaner is there. Engine was really greasy and grimy. Can see a T as the first letter of the engine code so I am ASSUMING the motor is at least for the right year Buick.

Overall this is kind of a turd. It is a GS convertible but it needs a ton of bodywork. If you are a bodyman, bid. If not, I would be cautious. My body guy(brother) would not let me buy one like this, he would shoot me. I will post a few pics tonight.

The gremlin is in way better condition. Too bad.
