Maybe someone would be interested in picking this car up... Went to go see it today, heres what i saw.

First of all, it looks complete, all the peoices are there except for wheels.

Secondly, its VERY VERY VERY ROUGH! It is a real GS though (4343....)

Seats nead recovered, cracked dash, disk brakes, auto shift and console, GS grill, all emblems there, GS hood, RAM AIR cleaner, rocker panel moulding all there. The rear quarters were used for someone's freak tubbing experiment (outwards). Looks like they welded a patch further out, and the bondo'ed in between to fill the gap. Passenger quarter is splitting in half along the bottom. The floors are done, will need to be replaced, but first you must remove the horrible repair job of patches from the inside. Body mounts are garbage, probably the rest of the bushings are as well, it basically needs a complete over haul, and then some.

He said the frame was solid, but i could see light through the rear lower control arms, so im not exactly sure....

$3500..... Too much work for me, but maybe someone could save it? He'll take trade ins also. He lives about 5 mins from my house, so if u want me to check something out, i could have a second look.

    Cheers.

    His name is Dan;

I dont think hes stuck on his price, but he definately goes through alot of cars, and is up to date on market value (it seems). He was thinking about trading for my 87 firebird, but his car needs ALOT of work.

    The interior is white, Non-Ac.

Shoot him an e-mail, he is very quick with responses, and could probably give you the trim tag info if requested.

I talked to him back and forth via e-mail , said he had a bottom line but did not say what.
it has all the parts I need. I may go to the cottage and swing by for a look with car trailer in tow.
what is your opinion on it value , anyone ?

    thanks

Like Tony said, it is infact a little too far gone....

When i was talking to the guy, he actually mentioned "it might be good for taking the tags off, and making a new car".

In my hymble opinion, i wouldnt pay more than about $500 for it. However, the "GS" badge might bump it up to $800.

    IT IS REALLY REALLY ROUGH!.

In the end, whoever buys it, will buy it for the GS badge at that price.

What kind of parts you looking for Al? Might be a better alternative.
