71 GS convertible Stage 1 ????

looks like it is a GS conv by the vin# but skylark grille skylark bench seat ??? someone needs to decode the cowl tag info he does post it. cool car though

 

Has the optional Olds steering wheel with a Buick button. I like them better myself.

 

There seem to be some customizations. There were no GSX convertibles, so I'd assume that the stripes and spoiler are after sales add ons. The interior carpet should be black, and the upholstery all white.

Although there are no absolutes, I would have expected a factory big block to have disc brakes, and judging by the pedal this doesn't. It has the stage 1 emblem is on the air cleaner, but doesn't have the chrome valve covers.

Looks like it's been loved and a very nice convertible. Would just need a few details to be more correctly upgraded.

 

Is that a 1972 air cleaner?

If I was in the market for one, I would still buy it.

 

Supersize that last right rear 3/4 veiw! Looks like some nasty rust just above the wheel opening trim!

Also, what kind of master cylinder is that?
