I have seen several post over the last few weeks about front end rebuilds and drum to disc conversion. So I have poster several pics. of my rebuild, keep in mind im not really into the exact factory color , but I like some parts of my GS dressed up some. I have just completed mine in my spare time. and there are several small notes to share . Some I figured out my self and some help from this site. #1 Brake lite switch bracket needs slightly bent or there is another bolt hole you can relocate the bracket to. #2 You should change to the Power disc proportion valve from the manual. #3 Recomended to change the brake line tubing, You can order exact fit and likeness aftermarker or make your own.. And remember when changing the proportion valve the old manual line fittings {Master cyl to valve} are different with power disc. So if you make your lines you will need to change the fittings on some of the new tubing ends. If your have a parts car with power disc and the fittings are in good condition you can clean them up and use them on the new tubing. to make your owm you will need a double flare tool. #4 You will have to change or modify the frame braKe hose mounts, the hoses lock in these mounts with clips ,but the hole in the bracket is shaped different from drum hoses to disc. Please look at my pics.
