Some of the grilles have arrived, and are shipping to the people who have them on order for several months. We should have all previous backorders filled within two weeks. At that time we will then have stock for people who have not order them yet. Attached are the latest pictures, as you can see they are painted in the correct 3 tone paint scheme (silver, charcoal, black). Orders placed prior to 06/27/05 get the introductory price of $579. All orders placed after that date will be $629 for the grille. We want to thank all the customers that helped make this possible. :beer We have a few other projects we started on: 1970 455 power steering brackets 1970 455 fan shroud Both are currently being worked on. Do to the quality of the 71 grille we have been told by a few people to do the 68, 69 and 70 grilles for GS models. We will keep you updated as things progress.
Nice work on the 71. As for the other years the 69 is already being offered made complete by Frank M., a board member here, in your price range so there is not much market there. There is a need for the 68s as because as of yet no one is making them yet. As for the 70 model there is a market there because Year One and the GSCA are selling an incomplete grilles ( no paint or studs ) for more than your complete price. So you are in effect about $200 less than their price.
If we are going to make the grilles we are going to offer a complete line 67-72. As for the 69 grilles already on the market, we couldn't get them at a cost that we would be bale to re-sell them at. We feel that there is a need in the market for a complete line of grilles 67-72 and we would rather carry our own grilles. Thank you for your info. :TU:
Which version is this??? One set-up mounts it near the valve cover, found on 68-early 70 models. Late-70 and 71-2 have the pump near the steering box. The first versions had an aluminum triangular piece and two stamped steel pieces. Late 70-up versions were two stamped steel plates.
We are making the early style, we are told that the two stamped pieces of that 3 piece setup are nearly impossible to find. We are making the two stamped pieces as we are told :Smarty: that the triangular piece is easy to find and the same on 350/400/455.
theres enough stuff going on for 68-69-70-71 lets see some `67 GS grilles get reproduced,we dont have anything reproed for 65-67`s,no grilles,no quarter panels, nothing absolutely nothing except for what interchanges with a Chevelle, what are we the step childs of the hobby? o No: Thanks

The in dash tach is not made by us, I am sure you would be more happy with the rally pack for your car which is one of ours.
Lou, He means the gage package (has individual needles for oil press, water temp) replaces the idiot lights. You can check out his sight to see a pic of one.
DING DING DING-We have a winner. If you want to reproduce something that would probaly sell very well, reproduce the 70-72 GS factory in-dash tach exactly how they came from the factory and sell them at a reasonable price. All the 70-72's used the same tach and the repros are not like the originals, at least none I've seen.
My 71 grille just arrived....at my sisters place in Montana!! Now I just have to get down there and make sure all is well. She said box looked good so should be no worries. I'm looking so forward to seeing this thing!!! later Tim
