What was the correct offset/backspacing (I always get the correct term wrong) on a 15 x 7 front when a factory rally rim was ordered on a GS. And was there a difference if the car had drums or disk brakes?

Thanks Wiz, so according to the chart 4 3/8" BS 1971 and up with disc brakes. No mention of drum. Should I assume you could not get the rally's on a drum setup? I still have the drums

Maybe they fit both disc and drum. Not sure. Someone will know.

Generally a disc brake wheel will fit any drum brakes since the drums never stick out past the mounting surface of the wheel. Discs can intrude into the flat plane of that area and it is usually the rotor and doesn't move with the wheel.

I saw a TSB for earlier cars regarding the weights on the drum wheels; Basically, it boiled down to that as long as the weights are not "stacked" on the drum there was no problem. You COULD have multiple weights, just not on top of each other. From 1973 forward, drum brakes were not available on the front...
