Granted mine are old and worn, but are we talking a gloss silver here? Or is it something of a flat? Thanks Again!
It would be a light silver metallic, and is basically the same color as was used in grills etc, Years ago I would go to the local Ford dealer and buy a case of Argent silver and use it for everything. I don't know if you can still get it but the color was perfect. Duane
I use plasti-kote T-41 "dull aluminum lacquer"..if you put it on with several very light coats it has the perfect texture and color...
Here is a picture of the color on a grille. You can see it is a semi-gloss (more to the matt side) but what really gets me is the texture. If you use light coats as I mentioned it almost has a dusty or slightly rough texture, and this is a dead match to every original well protected car I have seen plus all the NOS grilles and taillights I have seen over the years (I know Duane, can't really use NOS for id purposes but none the less it is a dead match). Also, if you spray it on a bit heavier it flows better and goes more gloss. Also looks great on alternators and anything that is supposed to be cast aluminum.
