Anyone interested in repro 71 GS tailights? How much would you pay? I am working on a set that will offer clear and red tinted repros.
I would take a pair if they are of the same or better quality as the '70 lenses that are currently repro'ed. This to me would mean that they are devloped using a NOS set and have the same exact look and lettering etc. I would expect Duane or others of similiar calibre to be the judge of conformance to original. I would be willing to pay the same rate as the '70 lenses. Hope this isn't asking too much. Thank you for considering reproducing these much needed items.
tailights These set I am planning on using are currently on my 71. They have some blemishes that I will be repairing before I cast them If any one has a set of NOS lenses I could borrow, then I could create a perfect mold and reproduce them. I am going to take my time and make sure I have a quality part before I sell any to anybody.
Repro 71 Lenses I was wondering if they were reproed that there would actually be 2 parts. The clear lens and the rest of the lens. How would you seperate the 2 on an nos set. My other question is could you use the same clear backup lens from a 70 and just repro the red lens. Maybe same some cash in the process. Steve :Smarty:
I am just starting to lok at them. I will figure out the logistics soon. I have been too busy getting ready for CES and writting an article for mobile electronics magazine to work on the tailights. I will have an idea soon on how long it will take to get the first set.
I would be interested in a set as well, but the quality must be there. I am not sure but wans't someone working on this?? later Tim
