This is board members Matt Hanlin(Mattnena1) 71 GS. Matt is a great guy and has decided to try to sell his car to fund two teenage daughters at home. http://jacksonville.craigslist.org/cto/3478027931.html there is a thread about he and this car in the members rides section. http://www.v8buick.com/showthread.php?247379-Blacked-out-71-GS455
Having had a black 72 GS clone, which I love the looks of any black car, this one really is sharp. I think what makes it better than other just painting the bumpers cars is doing all the trim including bezels, window trim and door handles. Don't think it would work so well on cars other than black either. Gives me an idea for my next project in black! If there is a next time!:TU: Good luck withe the sale, I would have a hard time parting with it.
I concurr! That car looks AWESOME! Did anyone recognize the work that Matt put into the rear bumper rubber tail light surround trim? It certainly appears he molded the rubber tail light trims right into the actual bumper... I REALLY like that!! :Brow: Glad to see you back, Matt! I beleive we met at some Buick Show on Olde Towne quite a few years ago... along with Dave and others... a bunch of us used to make that scene on a regular basis... ahhh...the good ole days. Dennis isn't the rear bumper a 71 which had no taillight surround rubber? I thought that only Colorado and Washington legalized smokin that stuff:moonu:
John. I hear what you are sayin..but take a look at pix 074... that rear bumper taillight surround area SURE APPEARS to be deeper than any standard 71 rear bumper surround. But then maybe its the BLACK that makes it look deeper? or maybe I'm just gettin old. I'm just sayin'. :Brow: Wheelz, Tampa Bay
