71 model year changes early to late build

    I have never seen a woodgrain on a 71. So very earlt I bet if at all.....As far as the 8.5 I believe all 71's had them.

    Dreesh, also my car now has console but was not from factory. I got entire set-up from car that was Late March 71 like mine and it had black handle.

    Not to hijack, but what about trunklid louvers, did the Skylarks get them and then lose them in '71 like the big cars did?

    None of the A bodies got the trunk louvers .

    Trunk louvres were used in 71 only I believe but only on big cars not A's as mentioned.

    My 71 is Aug 31, 1970 build and has woodgrain handle on shifter. No reason to think it had ever been changed when I got it 22+ years ago.
