I'm trying to find where and what the buzzer looks like for the key in the ignition alarm. Looking at the schematic for the 4300-4400 series i have traced from the horn/buzzer relay to the connector with the dual pink wire single spade but from there the schematic showes it going to a location behind the speedo i see nothing there. The pink wire is only about 3 inches long so it has to be in the vacinity.

I think it is located in and above the radio area, like behind the dash pad.

Thats the horn/buzzer relay what i'm looking for is on the other end of that connection, according to the schematic the connection on the back of the speedo is for a speed sensor i know this car didn't come with that option but i'm stumped as to why the ingnition buzzer doesn't work unless that half of the relay is not working...

Speed alert buzzer & the seatbelt buzzer are one in the same. This is according to the '71 chassis manual.

The pink wires you see behind/near the speedo were installed in the harness in all the cars. Plugs into the back of a Speed Alert speedo, if equipped.
Speedo is set at ....60mph. Once the speedo needle reaches the set needle, it actually closes a circuit, via the set needle, & energizes the buzzer.
When not used at the factory it was generally taped off. Clock wiring connector is there, black & brown I think. Angle shaped connector. Two others you will find are the backlights for either clock / tach.. Lt. grey wires, bulb socket on the end. In cars with a blank filler to the right of the speedo, these were also taped off at the harness.
Contact me privately if you are looking for any of the above. I have a couple working clocks & a speed alert speedo available. All have been cleaned & repainted baby blue inside the shells. Dimmer indicator colour is correct for a '71.

Thanks Steve so I guess its the buzzer/horn relay relay itself that makes the noise you hear when the door is open and the keys are in the ignition...true?

    That is correct.
