Ya, spoke to Doug a few days ago...gave him some ideas to check.

 

I lent him another NOS timing cover to try out. Hope that does the trick. We did the 30 minute break-in and it ran like a champ. I checked the oil after the run and all was fine. Something let go after the run and the block filled with water.
