Original paint and interior 14K mile spotless Skylark. Mike Phillips built 470 (545HP) pump gas friendly engine, Turbo 400 (3800 stall) and Currie Ford 9 inch (Detroit locker)with 3.90 gears. Dog house was removed to detail from the firewall forward, all front suspension rebuilt, bushings, springs etc. Rear suspension is all HR parts & stuff components. Wildwood manual disc brakes with 11 inch drum on the rear. New fuel tank, fuel lines, brake lines etc. Be-cool aluminum radiator, car runs 180 degrees all day in 100 degree heat. New Weld wheels with dog dish adapters, hubcaps are NOS. Tires on rear are new and fronts have less than a thousand miles. All chrome and bright work look great, car has some minor chips and dings in the paint so you are not scared to drive it, car is very presentable. Interior is 14K mile nice as well. Everything mechanically on the car has been replaced or restored. I have a very nice 16 inch Sandlewood Buick Ralley steering wheel that goes with the car. Car has less than a thousand miles on the build and less than 15 passes down the strip. Best pass is a 12.o at a 112 mph in 90 degree temps. Better tuning and lower temps car will run mid 11's easy. I am asking $29K or best offer. Car is located in Dallas, Texas. Please PM me if you have any questions or interest. Thanks!

This car was built right - no expenses were spared and the meticulous attention to detail is evident. It’s a great low mile car that can be enjoyed on the street or the strip.

A few things that Jeff forgot to mention: it has Gessler level 4 ported iron heads, Mickey Thompson repro headers, and a Denny’s aluminum driveshaft.

I’ll be happy to inspect and test drive the car for any interested board members! :D

Question for the experts: Is that 9" Detroit Locker good on the street? Drivabilty/turning/parking??

The Locker can be used on the street, it just ratchets and makes noise when turning either direction.

I have seen the car as well, both at the GS Nationals and when it was in my garage. It really is a very nice, and extremely solid car. When I owned it, it still rode on the original dual stripe biased ply tires and factory hubcaps. It was a very well cared for car all its life. The epitome of the little old lady car we have all wanted to find! If you have seen it in person, you will know how nice it was.
Jeff did a wonderful job transforming it into the car it is today, maintaining a very cool balance of the originality, and adding the performance side to it. The car truly will make the next owner proud.

Another example of you can’t build it for the asking price let alone the original platform. Kudos!
