Inside both my taillights, they are supposed to have a strip of yellowed plastic. Guess this difusses the blinker light. One side is missing... the other broken in half. Has anyone replaced these and if so how? My taillights work, it's just the inner yellow strip est 1" x 6 or 7" that is damaged.
Nothing yellow in any of mine. Only red and clear. Must be the Texas sun. You would need entire lens as nothing is seperate.
Steve---You must be talking about the item in the pic below. They are red (regardless of what the pic looks like...the flash affects the color/look). They are marked L and R and I think they have two small integral tabs on the back of each piece. These tabs were glued or melted into a corresponding "pocket" in the talight lens. The one in the pic is the L side and in excellent condition...highly polished and very clean. I need to check tomorrow to make sure this is a spare one and I will also check and see if I can find the other side. I'll be back.
Thank you! Based upon your photo... I think you might have driven past me about three months ago on 183 near Lakeline mall area heading towards Cedar Park... would have been about 5pm. If that was you, the car sure looked nice.
Patton, That pic you showed looks to be part of a 72 tail light lense. He is talking about the clear piece on the inside of a 71 lense.
ou: Thanks Carl...it would help if I read all the details first :TU: That wasn't me Steve. There's been a Stratomist Blue/White Vinyl top 72 GS350 around the Austin area for years and I've also seen it on the road...a buddy of mine used to own it YEARS ago. Someday I'd like to be spotted driving mine down the road also!!! Anyway...the parts I have are from a '72 so most likely useless for what you need. I'll ask another guy here if he has anything. Thanks.
