I have been on this forum for only one day and cant believe how much I have learned in just a few hours. My next question is what springs to get for my 72 GS-455. The springs in there now make the front end set way too low for my taste. I would like to see the front up a few inches. I'll try and post a picture.
Also take a visit to Buick Performance Club.com :TU: Just installed the Moog 5398 front springs on my sedan and the ride height is perfect and smooth without any modifications. Autozone.com sells them for $80.00. Good Luck and welcome to the board.:bglasses:

I looked at the Buick Performance Club.com posting about springs. There is a lot of information, but nothing about the height of the car. I just went out and measured the rear of my car and the fender well is about 25" from the ground. I would like the front the same height, maybe a little higher. But I have no idea what spring to use to get there. I never thought there would be so many different springs to choose from.

Moog 5398 part no. stock height no modifications to the springs. I will measure height for you. Skylark sedan 350 w/ac. Will post tonight.

cstanley-gs, You used the Moog 6204 springs also? From the looks of the picture you have on here, that is the stance I'm looks for on my car.

You'll see in the lower control arm there's a place for the end of the coil to set. Actually the springs are not installed yet. Most likely will have to use a compressor when I do the install though. Yes it is a BBB.
Just to update about rear springs I got RCS505V rear coil springs for the rear, sportwagon springs from Autozone They put the ass end up 2.5" and it had too much of a stinkbug look for me I put the old ones back in and Autozone took the new ones back with no questions.

Another rout you might consider is installing a spacer to increase your ride height. Like these: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/gls-1103 they have many different thicknesses you can get. They will raise your car double the thickness.
