Looking for the part numbers for the 72 Alternators and some pictures of original alternators. Thanks in advance Dave
The number stamping will be on the flat face, top front. Just below the adjuster bolt. For '72 there were 3 available for A-body Buicks. 1102459=42A,1102455=60A,11024=63A.
Just to add to this, i ordered a rebuilt alt for my 72, when it showed up i thought it was the internally regualted style as it had that case but closer inspection revealed the old style connector but on top (not the back)....my manuals confirm this style as well but when was the switchover date from the older style case??
