If taken care (garaged) of how long will a 72 GS grill last before it starts cracking and fallen apart. AL
72 grill AL is this going to be a joke or what ? Just kidding, the grill will be fine but do not put it in the upper part of the garage were it can get up to 125 or more degrees on a real hot day unless you have a climate controlled garage, it will start bending and get out of shape, I did it. ou:
Dan, I guess I didn't post this correctly. I'm thinking of buying a spare grill for my GS because I'm conserned about the one that is on the car (its new). My post is not about the shelf life  but how well the one on the car will hold up if taken care of. I plan to keeping this car till I need my walker to push in the clutch. Thanks AL.:TU:
72 grill Gotcha, it should be good for along time, I just bought a 72 GS and still has the original one in it just has a little fadeing to the black paint and emblem, they hold up good if taken care of they are a stronger grill compared to the 70 and 71 Dan.
Dan, The fading part is not going to be a issue because I gave it to my painter and he used a top of the line paint threw a spray gun. I did not have the patience to paint it  so I gave to some one who does it for a living :bglasses: AL.
Found and installed correct grille in my 71 GS around 1991 or so....car is always garaged, maybe 2000 miles per year, still looks like I just put it in except for a couple of paint nicks....so thats 13 years... later Tim
I have not bought another one and by the posts (Thanks) I should be ok, but I did buy a extra set of nos rear tail lights and cushions. AL.
