That's only a few hours from me. I go there often. He had it posted about a year ago.

x2. Im not sayin its impossible (or even that extremely hard to do), but being a bit of a skeptic, Id need a little proof before I drank that koolaid.

 

... exactly. 10K for a 550hp build, 3K for a bulletproof Th400, 2-3K for a bulletproof 8.5" posi or 12 bolt.

You guys are assuming he and his builder knew what they were doing and spent his money wisely.

I know of a guy locally who spent $12k on a stock rebuild for his 401. People over pay to have their Buick engines redone all the time.

If you are paying a shop retail (which usually includes their markup on parts) and also are including install labor, carb, distrib, plug wires, exhaust,etc. which many people commonly do yo can get there quicker than you think.
