'72 GS455 Stage 1 Indy Craigslist

    Ad says its not the original motor. Looks legit to me. Everytime I see a fake for sale, they never have the fender emblems in the right location.

    Easy way to check, look for a "v" in the vin number. That will tell all.

    What years dose that "V" code cover or is it just a 72 thing?

    73 and 74 as well.

    I believe this car was for sale a few years ago for $2800 and somebody on the board bought in and flipped it for a nice profit. I remember trying to buy it off the board member. Vintage red framingham car. Pretty cool.

    In '72, Buick made the 455 and 455-Stage 1 an option on the GS model rather than a stand alone model like several years prior. So, in '72, '73 & '74, the when a GS/Century Gran Sport was equipped with a 455-Stage 1, the VIN showed the engine option - which was a 'V'.
