my car has a split bench but no arm rest. am i right to think i can use any 2 door fullsize arm rest seat same year in the body platform out of in its place and recover it to match my interior? second question i would love to switch to brocade interior. i do have pics of what it looks like versus the vinyl however i dont with the arm rest seat. does anybody have a picture of the arm rest seat from a 72 (i think 71 was the same pattern) brocade.
I don't have photos of a 72 split bench with the cloth you are speaking of but yes, you can install any full size seat from any GM B-C-E platform, even buckets.
I would add that you can use any year from 71 to 74, probably to 76. Are there any full size cars with buckets from that era (71 - 76)?
yeah ive seen them. riviera are real common. im not a fan of bucket seats in anything. id rather have no armrest in that sense. ive seen the deluxe bench i guess its called just not in cloth like im looking at. it was in a centurion. just was making sure they are the same frame i guess.
Any 1971-76 full size GM will work. To make sure, take the tracks too. What you are referring to is known as a Notchback seat.
was it an a option on just a regular lesabre? i want it to look stock but man no armrest kinda sucks lol.
mine is the custom so i guess that is the upper one. its alot harder to find info about this vs my 66 lol.
so ive dug and dug and i only can find it on electras and centurions. so im guessing you had to step up to one of them to get the armrest seat. i may still attempt to do the diamond pattern thats so cool looking on a armrest seat if i find one.
