Regarding 1972 Buick Skylark Custom Convertible without engine. Here's a link to the additional photos: http://picasaweb.google.com/MickBurkellc/Buick All pictures without body parts, are from when I started the 455 etc change over a couple years ago. The shots of the engine being pulled in the BP lot are from when I pulled the engine a in November, as are the pictures underneath. As I mentioned the engine is blown and not included, the MSD box seen in the photos from the engine pull is also not included. I did get an engine to replace it, and can be included at additional cost. It too is not ready to run, as far as I know. The car does come with the recent (2 years on it) disk brake setup, same for the brake lines, and master cylinder. It also has the mod kit which moved the proportioning valve (which was also replaced) to the underside of the master cylinder to avoid overheating due to the headers. It has 14” painted rally wheels. I replaced the core support with a flawless stock core support, and installed the inner fender well patch kit. Also replaced the wiring harnesses; engine and lights. 2.5 inch dual exhaust and alumacoated TA headers. The power steering box was replaced with the quick ratio box, and a new rag joint installed. If you want to use the TH350, it is still working, but was pulled with the engine for convenience sake. Flexible gas lines were replaced, as was the tank sender unit and sock filter. The majority of exposed metal when I had the front apart was coated with a POR15 type paint. The convertible top gutter was replaced a few years back as well with a perfect condition fiberglass replacement. The front bumper was replaced with a good replacement, but no rubber stripping on it. Glove box was replaced with Year one replacement box. The AC was removed, and the box fiberglassed closed. The heater core was replaced at that time and is free of any leaks. The heat blows hot, but works only on high fan and floor and defrost. It looks like it will need new tie rod ends, as the boots on them looked bad when I was last under the car. The all rubber in the suspension was replaced when I got it in 2000 with the poly parts from http://www.performancesuspension.com/mainfek.htm . The trunk has surface rust, and has two gaps where the trunk floor meet each wheel fender. This has been the case since I got it, but it’s never been a problem. The bottoms of the doors are also fairly well rusted, and the door panels screwed on in a ‘non stock’ manner. There is also rust holes in the floor pans which was repaired by the previous owner using steel plate. The quarter window trim from the passenger side is not on the car, but I have it. I found it in the body (apparently it had fallen off when the previous owner had it) so it is somewhat pitted and has some rust as well. The rear bumper has surface rust, but is solid. It has been outside but covered since the engine was pulled in November. That’s about all I can think of , if you have any questions, please let me know. Looking for $4,000.00 or best offer, to be picked up in West Chester PA.
Could you send some pics of the trunk area and a description of options on the vehicle? Does it have A/C? I'd be interested. Thanks, Steve fox25eng@cox.net
