Hey Sean hows it going. We chatted back in March when I dropped a 455 in my 76.I was wondering if you had a line on some 15" cragers or clones or some Buick rally rims that are decent drivers they dont have to be perfect. If I ever figure out how to use a computer I will e-mil you some pictures, the motors not painted or anything it just sits there looking like it came from the factory in 1970 except for the mandatory chrome aircleaner and crank case vent breather. It costs too much to get stuff from the states these days so any help will be appreciated.Cheers Eric.PS Has it stopped snowing yet?It was only 5 here last night.

Bladerunner, I like the wheels. Are they Buick wheels and if so, how did you get the beauty rings to stay on? I can't decide whether to stay with the Cragars or to put on some 15" ralley's on my 76 Regal. I like the idea of painting the centers though.

The Wheels are original painted Buick Ralley's with Trim Rings, The rings if correct should pop riht on and off. By the way I love cragars, i gues I am and old school old fart. i wish i had a pair to swap on and off my car. I also have chrome rallys I run on this car, I am going to put white walls on those. i will swap them as I feel like a different look.

Do you know what the rings came off of? I know some trim rings clip on the outside edge of the rim, and would probably hang on, but the ones that grip into the rim would probably fly off of a chrome rim.

You can see that I was intending on dropping the ride height, and adding the ralley wheels, but some things will mess up my collecter plate status. The springs were new stock height added a couple of years ago by the original owner because the originals had sagged. (Although the car only has 33,000 original miles, just sitting in a garage is hard on springs and rubber). I have found a set of 2" drop springs, but I think the collecter plates may be in jeopardy. The Cragars are deep reverse, 7s on the front, and 8s on the rear, and I think these Regals are one of the only cars you can get away with such deep reverse wheels.

They attach to the inside of the rim (not the outer edge), and as far as I know are original to the car. I only use them on the painted rims.

I thought you had paint a chrome set to match the car. I don't think I have seen a painted set other than on the Pace car replicas. The sure look good on your GS.

thanks they were an otion on the 74's, not sure if that was the first year. I like them too, they originally had White walls on them from the factory. The spare still has the original tire on it and it is a whitewall on a painted rim also.

I may need a longer garage.

I think I may have officially joined the ranks of the "old farts society" with this one, but I dont care. ( according to my wife, I am one)

These things ride like a dream, and will scare the heck out of the Toyota Prius in front of you :Brow:
