I put one on my Luxus coupe when I first got it, WOW what a difference! Not only does it corner much flater but going over bumps in a straight line is way less adventuresome. :TU:

i would put one on also. it would be a good idea to "box" the rear lower control arms also. i know that the 64 - 72 a bodies had them boxed when they had a sway bar. if you can weld you can do it yourself. take into consideration the diameter of the front bar too. if it is only an inch thick i would put on i thicker one, like an 1 1/4. if yopu can find a late 70's trans am it should have one that size in it and it will bolt right up to your car. good luck.

Instead of bolting my brackets in, I aligned everything and removed the bar from the brackets and welded them to the control arms then bolted the bar back in. It's about as strong as boxing them and I didn't have to weaken the arms by drilling holes in them. :TU:

The '73-77 A-body rear bar will bolt on same as '77+ B series. For a rear bar, watch the Pick-N-Pulls for later GM B series with F41 suspension, or excop car Caprices turned into taxi's. Basic tools, a ratcheting brakeover, a can of Kroil, & small battle of wrenching & you'll be set.

You can check with www.p-s-t.com (Performance Suspension Technology) or any of a number of such outlets on the web or on the pages of most performance oriented mags.I found oversized bars, front and rear, for my '79 there.

    Lennard,
Hello. '77+ B series is GM big cars like the Chevy Impalla-Caprice, Pontiac Catalina-Bonneville, Buick Electra-Park Ave. For a big factory front bar along with rear bar, one usually is better served watching for the ex cop cars, as other B-bodys usually had small diam front bars & very seldom had rear bars.

'70 1/2-81 T/A front bar might work, never tried them on a '73-77 A-body. I try & not sell the T/A bars for early A-body swaps... don't like the way the last foot on each side is shaped & the way the swaybar endlinks angle when installed on '64-67 & 68-72 A-bodys.
