The VIN is 4D37V3Zxxxxxx, so that would make it a stage 1 correct??

How cool would it be to land a Stage car for that kind of scratch???

    update--VIN 4D37V3Z------ carb 7043242LB 1952 Dist 1111260 Block XS
Trans 73 BB Trim Tag as follows
    ST 73 4AD37 2 079972BDY
    TR 135 46 A PNT
    11B 079972 51041
Not a Stage 1 badge anywhere, and has chrome valve covers, bucket console auto, air, cruise, PS, PDB, remote trunk release. Original green paint on the whole car with white pinstriping and half vinyl top. Curious car, has the 455 badge where the stage 1 badge should be on front fenders. AC pump, cruise unit on fender missing along with the whole interior has been removed. A small amount of rot in bottom of drivers quarter otherwise a dry car. Will be alot of work but very restorable. Also has the painted ralleyes with trim rings and posi with F41 suspension. :TU: :TU:

Sounds like a good score Mike, I am now convinced if their is a Buick within 4000 miles of Idaho it is not even worth going after as by the time I call its in your garage. LOL Bill

Neat! Neat! Neat! Have you contacted Eric B. yet? He's got the scoop on all '73 Stage cars. I wouldn't sweat the lack of an emblem on the fender. The factory screwed that up regularly. The first GS I ever rode in was a '71 GS455 that had Buick Motor Division fender emblems, correct for a 350". This was back in 1981, before any hanky panky was going on with emblems. Clones were not even in the car worlds vocabulary yet. Here's the '73 link:

    Brian,
Yes I was pretty stoked when my buddy called me and told me it had a V in the VIN and it had chrome valve covers. He picked it up for me. I sent a note to Eric, Marco, and Pat Harmon. Cool!! :TU: :TU:

AWESOME. I remember looking at the ad when Brian first posted the link and thinking what a great deal that would be for someone. Make sure you get the papers from Sloan. A car this old may have been in a fender bender and had the fenders replaced. You can check the date codes on the front fenders to see if they are original. :beer

Interesting things about this car...I have seen other cars that had differences than what were supposed to be on them. I am requesting a few pics as well...If you think of it,pm me the last digits of the VIN so I can make a file for it. I have been starting to work on cars I have info for and have a lot of catching up to do...
